AN ACT CONCERNING THE RECALCULATION OR CAPPING OF 
CERTAIN STATE EMPLOYEE PENSIONS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to enact pension reform by 1 
either (1) requiring the recalculation of all pensions above one hundred 2 
thousand dollars per year based on the employee's salary over the final 3 
five years of employment, excluding any payments for overtime, or (2) 4 
capping state employee pensions at one hundred twenty thousand 5 
dollars per year. 6 
Statement of Purpose:   
To lower state employee retirement costs by capping or recalculating 
certain high-cost pensions.
