AN ACT CONCERNING CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR OUT -
OF-STATE SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That chapter 166 of the general statutes be amended to require the 1 
Department of Education to issue professional certification to an 2 
educator who is properly certified in another state, and to issue a 3 
superintendent of schools administrative endorsement to an individual 4 
who is properly certified in another state as a superintendent and who 5 
has completed coursework for such out-of-state certification that is 6 
similar to the requirements for such endorsement in this state. 7 
Statement of Purpose:   
To encourage the relocation and employment of out-of-state school 
administrators in Connecticut public schools.
