AN ACT CONCERNING THE REOPENING OF CONNECTICUT'S
VISITOR WELCOME CENTERS USING VOLUNTEER STAFFING.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 10-399 of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
Department of Economic and Community Development to create a 2
plan, in consultation with local chambers of commerce, to recruit local 3
volunteers to staff the state's visitor welcome centers and to reopen 4
any closed visitor welcome centers not later than July 1, 2019. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To encourage the opening and utilization of the state's visitor welcome
centers.
