AN ACT CONCERNING THE TEACHING OF THE COLD WAR IN
PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 10-16b of the general statutes be amended to require 1
that the social studies curriculum for public high schools include the 2
teaching of the United States' involvement in the Cold War and its 3
fight against socialism, communism and fascism. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that high school students have a broad and current
understanding of American history and government.
