AN ACT CONCERNING THE ALLOWABLE PERCENTAGE OF
LEAKAGE FROM GAS PIPELINES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to reduce the allowable 1
percentage of methane leakage from gas pipelines to one per cent and 2
to prohibit providers from charging customers for leaked gas. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce methane emissions and certain charged to gas customers.
