AN ACT CONCERNING CERTIFICATION OF MODERATORS AND
ALTERNATE MODERATORS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 9-229 of the general statutes be amended to provide 1
that any initial or subsequent certification granted to a person deeming 2
them eligible to serve as a moderator or alternate moderator at any 3
election or primary shall not expire two years after its granting, but 4
rather shall expire four years after its granting. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To extend from two years to four years the time covered by
certifications for moderators and alternate moderators.
