AN ACT CONCERNING REPLACEMENT OF CANDIDATES ON 
ELECTION BALLOTS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to provide that the 1 
names of all candidates who have qualified to appear on the ballot to 2 
be used at an election shall be finalized at the forty-second day prior to 3 
such election, and that after such forty-second day no changes may be 4 
made to replace the name of any such candidate. 5 
Statement of Purpose:   
To set at forty-two days prior to an election the deadline for replacing 
a candidate's name on the ballot to be used at such election.
