AN ACT EXTENDING TEMPORARY FAMILY ASSISTANCE 
PAYMENTS TO ENCOURAGE EMPLOYMENT. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That section 17b-112 of the general statutes be amended to permit 1 
an extension of not more than twelve months in temporary family 2 
assistance benefits for individuals who have found work but would 3 
otherwise have their benefits terminated because their income exceeds 4 
ninety per cent of their temporary family assistance benefits. 5 
Statement of Purpose:   
To provide an incentive for temporary family assistance recipients to 
obtain employment.
