AN ACT PROHIBITING PURCHASES BY ELECTRONIC BENEFIT 
TRANSFER CARDS AT LIQUOR STORES, CASINOS, OTHER 
GAMING ESTABLISHMENTS AND ADULT ENTERTAINMENT 
VENUES. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to prohibit the use 1 
of electronic benefit transfer cards at liquor stores, casinos, other 2 
gaming establishments and adult entertainment venues. 3 
Statement of Purpose:   
To align state statutes with federal law concerning the use of public 
assistance.
