AN ACT EXPANDING HOME HEALTH CARE FOR SENIOR CITIZENS
UNDER THE MEDICAID PROGRAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 17b-342 of the general statutes be amended to expand 1
eligibility for senior citizens to receive home health care and avert 2
costly institutionalization. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To expand access to home health care for elderly persons, expedite the
process of applying for and receiving home health care under the
Medicaid program and reduce spending on institutionalized care.
