AN ACT ENSURING PAYMENT OF FUEL VENDORS IN THE ENERGY
ASSISTANCE PROGRAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 16a-41a of the general statutes be amended to prohibit 1
community action agencies from authorizing fuel vendors to make 2
deliveries until funds are transferred from the Department of Social 3
Services to the community action agencies and are available to pay for 4
the deliveries. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that funds are available for fuel before vendors are
authorized to make deliveries in the Low Income Home Energy
Assistance Program.
