AN ACT CONCERNING THE DELIVERY OF MEDICAID SERVICES
THROUGH MANAGED CARE ORGANIZATIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to deliver 1
Medicaid-funded health care and additional services through managed 2
care organizations that accept a set monthly capitated payment per 3
Medicaid recipient. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To manage the cost, utilization, and quality of Medicaid services by the
delivery of Medicaid health benefits and additional services through
contracted arrangements between state Medicaid-funded agencies and
managed care organizations that accept a set per member, per month
payment for these services.
