AN ACT CONCERNING MENTAL AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH 
PARITY. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to (1) require that certain 1 
health insurance policies cover screenings for mental or nervous 2 
conditions during covered annual physical examinations, (2) expand 3 
reporting requirements that are imposed on the Insurance 4 
Commissioner, health carriers and managed care organizations 5 
concerning the all-payer claims database and mental and behavioral 6 
health, (3) modify the information reported in the consumer report 7 
card required by section 38a-478l of the general statutes, and (4) 8 
require that health carriers comply with the Paul Wellstone and Pete 9 
Domenici Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act of 2008, P.L. 10 
110-343. 11 
Statement of Purpose:   
To require health insurance coverage for certain screenings for mental 
or nervous conditions, expand reporting requirements concerning the 
all-payer claims database and mental and behavioral health, modify 
the Consumer Report Card on Health Insurance Carriers in 
Connecticut and require health carriers to comply with the Paul  Proposed Bill No.  333
