AN ACT CONCERNING END-OF-LIFE CARE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to allow a physician to 1
dispense or prescribe medication at the request of a mentally 2
competent patient that has a terminal illness that such patient may self-3
administer to bring about such patient's death. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To allow a mentally competent patient with a terminal illness to self-
administer medication to bring about his or her death.
