AN ACT PROHIBITING HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS FROM
CHARGING DIFFERENT RATES FOR THE SAME PROCEDURE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit a health care 1
provider from charging an insurance carrier a different rate for a 2
medical procedure than such provider would charge an individual 3
who is paying out of pocket for the same medical procedure. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the charging of different rates for the same medical
procedure.
