AN ACT CONCERNING THE INCLUSION OF THE EVENTS OF SEPTEMBER 11, 2001, IN THE PUBLIC SCHOOL CURRICULUM. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 10-16b of the general statutes be amended to require 1 that the social studies curriculum for public schools include the 2 teaching of the events of September 11, 2001, and to require that the 3 State Board of Education develop and make available curriculum 4 materials relating to the events of September 11, 2001, to assist local 5 and regional boards of education in developing instructional 6 programs. 7 Statement of Purpose: To include the events of September 11, 2001, in the social studies component of the public school curriculum and to require the State Board of Education to develop and make available model curriculum relating to the events of September 11, 2001.
