AN ACT CONCERNING AN INNOVATION INCENTIVE PROGRAM FOR
NONPROFIT PROVIDERS OF HUMAN SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 55a of the general statutes be amended to implement 1
an innovation incentive program for nonprofit providers of human 2
services that allows them to retain and reinvest into service delivery 3
funds left over from the contracted term amount, provided the savings 4
was achieved through an innovative change in the delivery of care that 5
improved outcomes and reduced costs. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To incentivize nonprofit providers of human services to use innovative
approaches to make state dollars go farther to assist clients.
