AN ACT CONCERNING MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT FOR 
LEGISLATORS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That section 2-15 of the general statutes be amended to restrict the 1 
transportation allowance to members or members-elect who drive a 2 
motor vehicle from their home to the State Capitol or other location 3 
where a public hearing or meeting is held and to change such 4 
allowance to a reimbursement for the miles actually driven by such 5 
member. 6 
Statement of Purpose:   
To ensure that legislators are reimbursed only for the mileage that they 
have driven and to reduce costs to the state.
