AN ACT CONCERNING THE POSSESSION OF CONCEALED
WEAPONS ON SCHOOL PROPERTY BY LAW ENFORCEMENT
OFFICERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 10-244a of the general statutes be amended to permit a 1
sworn member of an organized local police department or a retired 2
police officer to provide security services in a public school while in 3
possession of a concealed firearm. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To allow active and retired law enforcement officers to carry concealed
weapons on school property in accordance with the Law Enforcement
Officers Safety Act.
