AN ACT PROHIBITING SHOCK THERAPY TREATMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 17a-543 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit 1
the administration of shock therapy on a person, including, but not 2
limited to, children, pregnant women and the elderly, without the 3
person's written informed consent. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit forced shock therapy treatment.
