AN ACT CONCERNING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF POSITIVE TRAIN
CONTROL.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner 1
of Transportation to fully comply with the requirement by the Federal 2
Railroad Administration that every passenger rail line implement 3
positive train control by December 31, 2018, and to submit quarterly 4
reports to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly 5
having cognizance of matters relating to transportation until such time 6
as positive train control is implemented. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To protect railway passengers by requiring the implementation of
positive train control on passenger rail lines.
