AN ACT CONCERNING REVIEW OF ELECTION LAWS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to establish a committee for 1 the purpose of reviewing state election laws with regard to the timing 2 of primaries, the election of constitutional officers and campaign 3 policies and making recommendations for legislative changes, which 4 committee shall consist of (1) the speaker of the House of 5 Representatives, (2) the president pro tempore of the Senate, (3) the 6 minority leader of the House of Representatives, (4) the minority 7 leader of the Senate, and (5) a designee of the Secretary of the State. 8 Statement of Purpose: To create a committee of the legislative leaders from each of the four caucuses and a designee of the Secretary of the State for the purpose of reviewing certain election laws and making recommendations for legislative changes.
