AN ACT PERMITTING SCHOOL DISTRICTS TO ESTABLISH THE
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL ON A DATE AFTER LABOR DAY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 10-66q of the general statutes be amended to permit 1
local and regional boards of education to begin school sessions after 2
Labor Day. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To preserve the celebration of the final holiday before the school year
commences.
