AN ACT CONCERNING STATE EMPLOYEE REPORTING OF
WASTEFUL PRACTICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 4-61dd of the general statutes be amended to provide 1
that any state employee who makes a report to the Auditors of Public 2
Accounts that concerns a wasteful practice by a state department or 3
agency shall receive ten per cent of the estimated savings to the state 4
that is attributable to the stopping of such wasteful practice. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To offer a financial incentive for state employees who report wasteful
spending within the government.
