(By Request) AN ACT CONCERNING THE DONATION OF BLOOD BY MINORS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 19a-285a of the general statutes be amended to allow 1 any person who is sixteen years of age to have the legal capacity to 2 donate blood or any component thereof and to consent to the 3 withdrawal of blood from his or her body in conjunction with any 4 voluntary blood donation program. 5 Statement of Purpose: To allow any person who is sixteen years of age or older to donate blood.
