AN ACT CONCERNING THE CREATION OF AN EDUCATION PROGRAM THAT TEACHES CERTAIN SKILLS TO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AND PROMOTES WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to create an 1 education program in high schools that provides instruction to 2 students on skills in customer service, tourism and information 3 technology, and that such program be funded by funds from 4 partnerships with local businesses and funds set aside for workforce 5 development programs aimed at job placement. 6 Statement of Purpose: To engage young adults and teach them vital skills in workforce development.
