Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the employment 1 practice of requiring an employee to call an employer prior to a 2 scheduled shift to confirm that the employee is needed for the shift, 3 and to require employers to give an employee at least twenty-four 4 hours prior notice if the employee is not needed to work a scheduled 5 shift. 6 Statement of Purpose: To prohibit the unfair employment practice of on-call shift scheduling.
