AN ACT ALLOWING MUNICIPALITIES TO IMPOSE A PROPERTY TAX
ON CERTAIN FACILITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to allow municipalities to 1
impose a property tax on outpatient hospital facilities that generate 2
income for hospitals. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To create more revenue options for municipalities with a large
percentage of properties that are exempt from property tax.
