AN ACT CONCERNING RE GISTRARS OF VOTERS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
Section 1. Section 9-16 of the general statutes is repealed and the 1 
following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective from passage): 2 
The registrars of voters in each town shall give notice of the time 3 
and place of each session for the admission of electors held pursuant to 4 
section 9-17 by publication in a newspaper published or circulated in 5 
such town not more than fifteen nor less than five days before each 6 
such session. Nothing [herein] in this section shall require that such 7 
publication be in the form of a legal advertisement.  8 
Sec. 2. Section 9-39 of the general statutes is repealed and the 9 
following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective from passage): 10 
The registrars of voters of each municipality shall print copies of the 11 
final registry list for distribution in such municipality and in all the 12 
voting districts located [therein] in such municipality. The registrars 13  Raised Bill No.  1093

shall, upon request, produce for any candidate for election the final 14 
registry list for each voting district for which such person is a 15 
candidate and shall maintain such list, either on paper or in electronic 16 
format, for a period of not less than two years.  17 
Sec. 3. Subsection (c) of section 9-46a of the general statutes is 18 
repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective from 19 
passage): 20 
(c) The registrars of voters of the municipality in which a person is 21 
admitted as an elector pursuant to subsection (a) or (b) of this section, 22 
[within] not later than thirty days after the date on which such person 23 
is admitted, shall notify the registrars of voters of the municipality 24 
[wherein] in which such person resided at the time of such person's 25 
conviction that such person's electoral rights have been so restored. 26 
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following 
sections: 
 
Section 1 from passage 9-16 
Sec. 2 from passage 9-39 
Sec. 3 from passage 9-46a(c)

To make technical changes to statutes concerning registrars of voters.
