AN ACT REQUIRING DATA REPORTING TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE
WITH FEDERAL LAW CONCERNING PARITY OF BENEFITS FOR
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH CARE SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to require data 1
reporting to ensure compliance with federal law that prohibits health 2
plans from imposing dollar limits on mental health benefits that are less 3
favorable than any such limits on medical benefits. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To use data reporting to support parity of benefits for physical and
mental health services.
