AN ACT AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE FOR THE
RENOVATION OF THE THOMASTON OPERA HOUSE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the 1
issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the 2
general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate 3
eight million two hundred thousand dollars, the proceeds of which shall 4
be used by the Department of Economic and Community Development 5
for the purpose of providing a grant-in-aid to the town of Thomaston 6
for the renovation of the Thomaston Opera House. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To provide a grant of funds to the town of Thomaston for the renovation
of the Thomaston Opera House.
