AN ACT CONCERNING HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE POLICIES AND
COVERAGE FOR THE PERIL OF COLLAPSE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to require 1
homeowners insurance policies to provide coverage for the peril of 2
collapse and mitigation undertaken to prevent all or part of the covered 3
dwelling from falling down or caving in. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To require homeowners insurance policies to provide coverage for the
peril of collapse and mitigation undertaken to prevent all or part of the
covered dwelling from falling down or caving in.
