AN ACT CONCERNING THE DEPRIVATION OF CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS BY STATE ELECTED OFFICIALS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 52-571k of the general statutes be amended to include 1 the members of the General Assembly, the Governor, the Lieutenant 2 Governor, the Attorney General, the Comptroller, the Treasurer and the 3 Secretary of the State as individuals against whom a civil action may be 4 brought for alleged constitutional violations for which government 5 immunity is limited. 6 Statement of Purpose: To ensure state elected officials are held to the same standard as police officers in protecting the Constitutional rights of state residents.
