AN ACT DETERRING ABUSE IN NURSING HOMES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to allow a nursing home 1
resident or his or her representative to install an electronic monitoring 2
device in his or her room, provided any roommate agrees in writing to 3
the use of such device and liability for any breach of privacy related to 4
the resident's use of such device is waived for nursing homes. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To deter abuse in nursing homes.
