AN ACT CONCERNING SERVICES FOR INDIVIDUALS EXPOSED TO A TRAUMATIC EVENT. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to authorize or mandate police 1 departments to share information with the Departments of Education 2 and Social Services regarding individuals receiving services from or 3 under the jurisdiction of said departments who have been exposed to a 4 traumatic event not later than twenty-four hours after exposure to 5 enable said departments to provide services and support to such 6 individuals. 7 Statement of Purpose: To create a broader safety net of care and support for individuals in the community who have been exposed to a traumatic event.
