AN ACT CONCERNING THE "MOVE OVER" LAW. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That subsection (b) of section 14-283b of the general statutes be 1 amended to require the operator of a motor vehicle to immediately 2 reduce the speed of such vehicle to twenty miles per hour when 3 approaching one or more stationary emergency vehicles located on the 4 shoulder, lane or breakdown lane of such highway. 5 Statement of Purpose: To increase public safety by requiring motorists to reduce the speed of a motor vehicle to twenty miles per hour when approaching a stationary emergency vehicle on the shoulder, lane or breakdown lane of a highway.
