AN ACT REQUIRING ABLE -BODIED MEDICAID RECIPIENTS TO
WORK OR VOLUNTEER.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
Commissioner of Social Services to apply for a waiver under Section 2
1115 of the Social Security Act to require able-bodied Medicaid 3
recipients to work or volunteer to receive or maintain Medicaid benefits. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To require able-bodied Medicaid recipients to work or volunteer to
receive or maintain Medicaid benefits.
