AN ACT DETERRING FRAUD AND ABUSE IN PUBLIC ASSISTANCE
PROGRAMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
Commissioner of Social Services to include warnings about penalties for 2
fraud and abuse in all marketing materials concerning public assistance 3
programs. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure the proper allocation and use of benefits under state-
administered public assistance programs.
