AN ACT CONCERNING TELEHEALTH. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to: (1) Extend the sunset date 1 
for certain provisions of public act 20-2 of the July special session to May 2 
30, 2022; (2) provide that a health insurer may pay a reduced 3 
reimbursement to a health care provider who provides a covered benefit 4 
to an insured through telehealth, provided the amount of such reduced 5 
reimbursement shall be equal to at least fifty per cent of the 6 
reimbursement that the health insurer would have paid to the health 7 
care provider if the health care provider had provided the covered 8 
benefit to the insured in person; and (3) prohibit a health care provider 9 
from seeking reimbursement for an in-person covered benefit if the 10 
provider previously sought reimbursement for the same covered benefit 11 
provided to the same insured through telehealth. 12 
Statement of Purpose:   
To: (1) Extend the sunset date for certain provisions of public act 20-2 of
