AN ACT CONCERNING THE PROVISION OF NECESSARY MEDICAL 
TREATMENT FOR DRUG-DEPENDENT PERSONS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That: (1) Section 54-36i of the general statutes be amended to provide 1 
that moneys remaining in the drug assets forfeiture revolving account 2 
at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the General Fund but shall 3 
remain in the revolving account and be allocated to the Department of 4 
Mental Health and Addiction Services for the provision of inpatient 5 
treatment services for drug-dependent persons at facilities operated by 6 
or under contract with the department; and (2) the general statutes be 7 
amended to provide that the Probate Court Administrator shall, within 8 
available appropriations, prepare and distribute informational 9 
materials that are designed to inform the public of Probate Court 10 
procedures that may be of assistance in securing necessary medical 11 
treatment for a drug-dependent person. 12 
Statement of Purpose:   
To combat opioid abuse and addiction.
