AN ACT CONCERNING THE WAIVER OF FEES FOR OPERATOR'S
LICENSES AND MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATION FOR VETERANS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That subsection (c) of section 14-50 of the general statutes be 1
amended to require the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles to waive any 2
operator's license or motor vehicle registration fee for one licensing 3
period for a qualifying veteran who is a current resident of the state. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To waive any operator's license or motor vehicle registration fee for one
licensing period for a qualifying veteran who is a current resident of the
state, rather than a veteran who was a resident at the time of his or her
induction into the armed forces.
