AN ACT CONCERNING PROPERTY AND CASUALTY INSURANCE
CLAIMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to specify deadlines 1
by which a property and casualty insurer shall: (1) Acknowledge that a 2
claim has been filed; (2) send a casualty claims adjuster to investigate a 3
claim; and (3) offer to settle a claim. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To specify deadlines by which a property and casualty insurer shall: (1)
Acknowledge that a claim has been filed; (2) send a casualty claims
adjuster to investigate a claim; and (3) offer to settle a claim.
