AN ACT PROHIBITING BALANCE BILLING AND PROVIDING
ADDITIONAL PROTECTION TO HEALTH CARE CONSUMERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to: (1) Prohibit certain out-of-1
network health care providers from engaging in balance billing; and (2) 2
provide additional consumer protections to health care consumers. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To: (1) Prohibit certain out-of-network health care providers from
engaging in balance billing; and (2) provide additional consumer
protections to health care consumers.
