Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to require each 1 insurance company that issues a motor vehicle insurance policy in this 2 state to issue a medical payment letter not later than forty-eight hours 3 after such insurer receives a claim for a bodily injury insured under such 4 policy. 5 Statement of Purpose: To require each insurance company that issues a motor vehicle insurance policy in this state to issue a medical payment letter not later than forty-eight hours after such insurer receives a claim for a bodily injury insured under such policy.
