AN ACT CONCERNING THE EXTREME LEFT LANE ON STATE HIGHWAYS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 14-230a of the general statutes be amended to prohibit 1 any operator of a motor vehicle from driving in the extreme left lane on 2 any state highway, except on the direction of a police officer, when 3 access to or egress from such highway is provided on the left or when 4 overtaking or passing another motor vehicle. 5 Statement of Purpose: To restrict driving in the extreme left lane on state highways.
