LANOUE, 45th Dist. AN ACT CREATING A TASK FORCE TO STUDY INCREASED ACCOUNTABILITY AND COMPETITION IN THE ELECTRIC DISTRIBUTION MARKET. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to create a task force to study 1 (1) how the market serviced by each electric distribution company may 2 be reconstituted in order to be more accountable to ratepayers and more 3 responsive to ratepayer needs, and (2) the introduction of competition 4 in the electric transmission or distribution services industry in 5 Connecticut. 6 Statement of Purpose: To study the consumer benefit of increased accountability and competition in the electric distribution market.
