Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to establish a scholarship fund 1 that allows individuals and corporations to make tax-exempt donations 2 for the purpose of providing scholarships to fund alternative courses of 3 study for low-income students and special education students during a 4 declared public health emergency related to a pandemic. 5 Statement of Purpose: To establish a tax-exempt scholarship fund to provide funding for alternative courses of study to low-income and special education students during a declared public health emergency.
