DAUPHINAIS, 44th Dist. AN ACT CONCERNING REQUESTS UNDER THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT AND THE PUBLICATION OF CERTAIN COMMUNICATIONS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That chapter 14 of the general statutes be amended to (1) require 1 administrative staff of members of the General Assembly and the 2 Governor to post all communications received or made by such officials 3 during the prior week and not exempt from disclosure under the 4 Freedom of Information Act on a central Internet web site every Friday 5 afternoon, (2) set a fixed time frame within which requests under the 6 Freedom of Information Act shall be completed, such as forty-eight 7 days, and (3) require the development of a central location where all 8 completed requests under the Freedom of Information Act can be stored 9 and viewed by the public. 10 Statement of Purpose: To address how the Freedom of Information Commission is understaffed by requiring certain information to be more accessible to the public.
