AN ACT CONCERNING MUNICIPAL OPPORTUNITY
REIMBURSEMENT AND EDUCATIONAL EQUITY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to increase the school 1
construction reimbursement rate by ten per cent for municipalities (1) in 2
which fewer than ten per cent of housing units are set-aside 3
development units, (2) that adopt inclusive zoning regulations that 4
affirmatively further fair housing, permit multifamily housing of three 5
units or more by right and permit accessory dwelling units, and (3) that 6
demonstrate that new affordable housing units equal to one per cent of 7
total housing units were constructed in the previous three-year period. 8
Statement of Purpose:
To establish a link between educational and affordable housing
opportunities.
