AN ACT CONCERNING CLEAR AND CONSPICUOUS STATEMENTS
REGARDING STATE AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES' RIGHT TO OPT
OUT OF UNION MEMBERSHIP.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require that state and 1
municipal collective bargaining agreements and related employee 2
notices include a clear and conspicuous statement of any employee's 3
right to opt out of membership in the union. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To provide clear notice of a state or municipal employee's right to
choose not to be a member of a union.
